The Power of Flow
Why don’t we get into our flow zone – not just out of our comfort zone? The last few years have seen a considerable increase in interest in flow states, and getting into the flow, and rightly so – it is a powerful and effective, joyful way to live your life. Apart from the obvious benefits of reduction in stress and increase in peace and happiness, it has been shown that being in your flow actually makes you more effective in dealing with the challenges of our world, and tends to increase your wealth (of course the true inner wealth is vastly increased by living like this, but also people’s income tends to increase). Roger Hamilton found he was able to predict the changes in people’s financial situation 6 months in advance by analysing how much they were in flow.
So flow is great, but how do we access it. There are many people who advocate techniques like meditation etc. And I think this is great, but one of the biggest keys seems to me finding your particular style of flow – the things that put you into flow, and basically your flow personality. Some people like to organise, some like to communicate, some like to create etc. We all have different personalities and when we live in line with our personal strengths and weaknesses we are able to access flow and do our greatest work.
Your Flow Profile

Extraversion vs Introversion
On the right we have the extraverts – known for the love of colour and variety and surprises – and hence conversation and communication. On the left we have the Introverts – known for their love of structure and order and predictability – and hence systems, and things. There are also Ambiverts who like some of each. Do not measure yourself according to what you do – people can learn to do almost anything, the real difference is what you like – what puts you into flow and makes you feel relaxed and energised.
Intuitive vs Sensing
Everyone can develop their intuition, and everyone can sense things, but these words are talking about something else – whether you look at the big picture – everything at once, and process ideas as one image – which creates for fast thinking, and often highly creative (intuitive) or whether you like to feel things carefully, one piece at a time, to get directly involved – kinaesthetic learning, which leads to slow thinking, but much more connected and in tune with the moment (sensing). As with extraverts and introverts there is also a point in the middle which balances the two. If you were planting a garden would you start with drawing a map (intuitive), or finding the shovel? (sensing)
The 8 Profiles
The combination of these qualities leads to 8 flow profiles. Some of you will be familiar with systems of personality profiling similar to this, and there are many that are actually identical – including wealth dynamics, and it is very closely connected to the iiching and jungian psychology as well. I suspect the personality types of ancient greek medicine are probably also the same.
Sky Eagle
The sky eagle is the most creative. Many people who are diagnosed with ADD are simply eagles who have not learnt to channel their intense creativity. They often complain of having too many ideas, but in their strongest are great at launching things, and then moving onto other things – if you can design that into your life as a strength then all is well, and the creativity can be a wonderful gift. In wealth dynamics these people are called Creators
Thunder Monkey
Thunder monkeys are performers by nature – very creative and very expressive. Many become actors, singers or chefs because of their love for an audience, and ability to rise to the moment with panache. Though great with charisma and gaining attention they are often weak in practicalities, and need support with that side of things. If they can shine their light on something of value, and use the support of others to create structure around them then they can bring great things into the world. In Wealth Dynamics they are called Stars
Fire lion
Fire Lions are the great communicators – the lion symbol should be understood similar to the lion king – these are the great listeners and conversationalists, and leaders – at their lowest they can just be gossips, but at their highest are coaches, counsellors, and leaders who understand how to unite a team and bring all into their highest and most effective versions. In Wealth Dynamics these are called Supporters.
Mountain Crane
The mountain cranes can get a clear view and travel between different places and people, and can put together partners and elements to create together – they run great parties and events, they meet many people, focus on connection, and are also often good at introducing the right people to each other – match makers, connectors. They love meeting and listening to others, but often do not know what to say when asked to speak for themselves. In Wealth Dynamics these are called Deal Makers.
Earth Wolf
The Earth Wolf is focused on service – how can I help you? This can lead to skill in shopkeeping, waiting and serving in restaurants, medicine – anything which is focused on serving each person. They also are very natural traders. Many I have met say that they are not great conversationalists, and have trouble finding what to say, but would rather do than talk. In Wealth Dynamics these are called Traders.
Lake Bear
Lake bears like peace and security. They tend to be quiet people who focus on research, and understanding before action, are often good at project management and accountability, and investing in whatever is important to them – whether that is family, or money, or other things. They like stability that will last for the long term. In Wealth Dynamics they are called Accumulators.
Crystal Phoenix
Crystal Phoenixes are the most focused on elegance and beauty. They prefer to do things gracefully, make beautiful spaces, organise things. Western classical art including classical music is based on this personality, and whatever they do if they can spend their time and do it carefully then they turn perfectionism into a great art, and beautiful, and wonderful things come out of it. In Wealth Dynamics they are called Lords.
Cloud Dragons
Cloud dragons are focused on problem solving, and fixing things. These are the people who would buy a motorbike, and take it apart and put it back together before riding it, the ones who come alive when given a problem – engineers, programmers. They tend to be very practical and while loving to create elegant solutions are comfortable in their work overalls not needing to be elegant themselves. In Wealth Dynamics they are called Mechanics
Flow Frequencies and consciousness
Each of these flow personalities is brought into their highest potential by a particular kind of flow state – similar, but a different flavour, or frequency of mind. As my work has been for many years about states of consciousness i have been able to identify precisely the frequencies of consciouness that lead to flow and effectiveness for each of these profiles. In order to help people to come into their optimum flow state I have created a range of vibrational medicines that help you come into your flow state. I call these the Flow Essences.
